Welcome to the Everturn Girls Society, a movement that says enough is enough to gendered limiting beliefs. Being a girl is strong, being a girl is powerful. Being a girl means she can fix clothes AND cars, she cooks AND codes, she paints AND solves algebra.
We will be offering summer schools and after school clubs across the UK for young girls aged 8-12 where we challenge stereotypes placed on girls and equip them with the self belief and critical thinking skills to be a boss in their future lives, fulfilling THEIR dreams, not someone elses's expectations.

What's in a name? Everturn - to be ever turning to light, to opportunity and towards growth. The name was selected after a conversation with a mother who spoke about the significance of sunflowers as a symbol for her daughter. This led me to think, why the sunflower? After a little investigation it turned out this flower held a lot of meaning: "Sunflowers are a symbol of happiness, optimism, and loyalty, often representing a positive outlook and unwavering devotion. Their bright yellow color and tendency to face the sun contribute to their cheerful association. Additionally, their ability to grow tall and strong, even in difficult conditions, symbolizes resilience and perseverance." This had deep meaning to me and my desire to see girls, and ultimately women, win their space in the world. To be free of societal constraints and expectations, to grow tall and strong in their chosen path through unwavering devotion to themselves, always seeking the light, the opportunity, forever turning in that direction. Thus, Everturn Girls Society was born, more than just a club, we are a movement of teachers, parents and role models that show young girls they can do it. To do something 'like a girl' will be a compliment, holding connotations of power, success, joy, love and well needed societal change.
